OMH: May 27′ Advancing Peer Support Summer Series Kick-off’

Hi everyone, please find a free summit hosted by our colleague Cheri Bragg in Connecticut.

Please find the attached flyer about the Advancing Peer Support Summer Series Kick-off happening this Thursday, 5/27 from 1pm-3pm about the “History of Peer Support” (featuring Dr. Larry Davidson, Phil Valentine, ED,CCAR, with discussion moderated by Dr. Chyrell Bellamy)

 (*Also, please hold Wednesday, June 9th from 1-3pm for the first of the regular series presentations:  Intentional Peer Support (I.P.S.) with Chris Hansen (& others) – one not to miss!)  

“Advancing Peer Support & Lived Experience Leadership:  
2021 Upward Spiral Summer Summit” 

 Goal:  To bring together and strengthen the peer support workforce in CT and beyond.  This includes Recovery Support Specialists, Recovery Coaches, Peer Navigators, advocates, activists, and other people working in roles using their lived experience.  The series will consist of a May kick-off followed by bi-monthly opportunities for networking, learning/unlearning, innovation, and inspiration. 

Topics include National and International approaches on peer support; racial & social justice; frameworks of distress; wellness, soul work and creativity; peer support supervision and co-reflection; Intentional Peer Support (I.P.S.); Power Threat Meaning framework; Latinx Cultural values.
