This year’s state budget will be shaped by the fallout of federal actions that undermine the voluntary, community-based systems we rely on, including housing supports, peer services, crisis alternatives, and prevention programs.

We need EVERYONE in our community to raise their voice!

Your presence at our forums and Legislative Day helps:

• Protect the services that allow us to heal and thrive
• Ensure recovery oriented approaches remain funded
• Push back against harmful policies and forced treatment expansion
• Strengthen our collective power in the face of profound challenges

Together, we can build a future where every ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿er has the supports they need to live self-directed and meaningful lives, but we must act now.

We will be pushing the state to ensure the services we all rely on are maintained and expanded during this difficult time while also calling for real person-centered solutions that reflect our community’s needs and values.

Your voice matters. Legislative Day is our chance to ensure lawmakers hear directly from the people most impacted by their decisions.

This event is an opportunity to connect with local advocates, providers, and policymakers to discuss what our region needs to strengthen recovery and mental health services.

We’ll be joined by local legislators from the Rochester area to talk about the regional service continuum and hear directly from community members about what’s working—and what must change. Presentations will also be provided by The Alliance, HOPE First ROC, Friends of Recovery- ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ (FOR-NY) and other local leaders.

Speakers include:

2. Stanley Martin, City Council Member and Steering Committee member for HOPE First ROC
3. Christopher Assini, Director of Policy, FRIENDS OF RECOVERY-ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿
4. Luke Sikinyi, Vice President of Public Policy, Alliance for Rights and Recovery

During this dynamic session, we’ll:

• Share the latest updates on statewide and regional advocacy efforts
• Discuss workforce investment, crisis response, and alternatives to forced treatment
• Hear community voices on rights, recovery, and system change
• Build momentum together for Lobby Day 2026
