The Conference, entitled, 鈥淩ISE UP! Community, Connection, Culture,鈥 will be held the day and evening of September 29, 2020 and this Thursday day October 1st.
In December 1999, Dr. Satcher issued , the first ever surgeon general鈥檚 report on mental health. His comments were recently featured in recent article in the Hill entitled 鈥淔ailure To Address Coronavirus Mental Health Issues Will Prolong Impact鈥 and his Satcher Health Leadership Institute and the CDC Foundation are in the process of establishing a Health Equity Task Force that will address the disparate impacts and underreporting of the impact of the virus on racial/ethnic minorities, people living with disabilities, and those of lower socioeconomic status.
