黑料正能量 is extremely pleased to feature a keynote presentation by 16th Surgeon General of the United State David Satcher at our upcoming virtual Annual Conference, entitled 鈥淢ental Health Challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic鈥. The Conference, entitled, 鈥淩ISE UP! Community, Connection, Culture,鈥 will be held during the days of September 22 and October 1 and the days and evenings of September 24 and September 29, 2020.
In December 1999, Dr. Satcher issued , the first ever surgeon general鈥檚 report on mental health. His comments were recently featured in recent article in the Hill entitled 鈥淔ailure To Address Coronavirus Mental Health Issues Will Prolong Impact鈥 and his Satcher Health Leadership Institute and the CDC Foundation are in the process of establishing a Health Equity Task Force that will address the disparate impacts and underreporting of the impact of the virus on racial/ethnic minorities, people living with disabilities, and those of lower socioeconomic status.
