Recovery Now! Launches ‘Our Stories, Our Lives’ Campaign

黑料正能量 Note: Here鈥檚 an exciting next step action from Recovery Now!, a terrific and well-timed effort to put recovery at the center of the narrative of our joint efforts to fix broken mental health systems by

  • Raising awareness that people can recover from even the most serious mental health conditions, given the right mix of accessible, community-based services and supports.
  • Proposing proven approaches to end unnecessary hospitalization, needless incarceration, and homelessness.
  • Advocating to repair our broken mental health service systems by increasing the availability of community-based services that promote recovery and whole health.

Recovery Now: Our Stories, Our Lives Project

Dear Friend,

Recovery Now! is launching 鈥淥ur Stories, Our Lives,鈥 a storytelling campaign in which we encourage folks to share your own narrative about what recovery means to you and what has helped or hindered your progress. We鈥檇 love to hear from you, and please spread the word to others in your community who would also like to participate.

You can submit your story , either in writing or video. When convenient, if you could take 15 minutes or less out of your day to answer a few questions and share your story, it would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, if you鈥檙e on or , make sure to follow and like us! If your story is selected, we will most likely be sharing it through those platforms.

We鈥檙e excited to work with you to change the story about mental health and recovery in America, and to promote the kinds of systems and social changes that are so desperately needed to foster recovery for all. Thank you again for your support of the campaign.
