State policy-makers have many tools at their disposal to measure and monitor the quality of care delivered to the Medicaid population.Ìý Within long-term services and supports programs, these systems of quality measurement vary considerably from state to state. State leaders, including legislators and advocates, are interested in standardized measures that would allow them to compare across states, and they are particularly interested in using tools that obtain information directly from program participants on quality of life and other outcome measures.
This 90-minute webinar will present one new and one established approach for collecting information directly from individuals who receive long-term services and supports. It will address policy and operational lessons to inform other state efforts to monitor the quality of care delivered by their programs.

Ms. Fay and Ms. Bradley will provide an overview of the National Core Indicators program including the framework for indicators and the different survey modules. They will describe program outcomes and how states are using this information.
